Acoustic Pickups

Mockingbird Music is an authorized dealer of L. R. Baggs, McIntyre and Fishman acoustic pickups and preamps. Let us know what you need, or if you wish, let us help you decide which pickup or preamp best suits your needs. Countryman internal mics are also available and are a great upgrade from the Crown Mic.

Cases

We carry a wide range of the highest quality hardshell cases to protect your instrument and your investment including the new Featherlite Cases.  Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Electric Guitar & Electric Bass cases in black or vintage style tweed.  Bass Viol and Cello bags, and Violin cases are available and we also carry flight cases.

These are the toughest flight cases you can buy to protect your instrument. They are available with a high quality hygrometer for accurate humidity readings, come in a variety of colors, and can withstand an astonishing 1,600 lbs of vertical force!!! This is more than even the surliest baggage handler can dish out!

We have recently added a nice line of  Featherlite acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, violin, and electric bass Cases.  These are tough, protect your instrument much better than a gig bag, but are super light!!!

The great new Intellitouch electronic tuners are now in stock. These are great little tuners!! Clip 'em on and tune up!   The new Shubb capos have a great new design for the guitar capo. We have Banjo, Guitar, and 12-string Guitar capos in stock.  Also in stock are Paige capos for guitar and banjo.   Pro-pik  brand fingerpicks are the fingerpick of choice, we have all sizes in stock, great Thumbpicks by Golden Gate,  National and Dunlop are also in stock.  Kyser acoustic guitar humidifiers are a necessity this time of year, do you have yours?  The finest Leather Straps for mandolin, banjo and guitar have recently arrived and are available in many colors and finishes.  These are luthier approved straps which will not harm the finish of your prized instrument.  Tuners and effects by Boss, Dunlop, Heil, Danelectro, etc. are just in and sound fantastic.  New amps include  Dean Markley, the Telluride acoustic amp by Crate and the brand new Alesis Wildfire 60.   The brand new Pro-Keys 88 Stage Piano by M-Audio is just in.   This must be played to be believed.  Circuit Breaker cords and other essentials by Planet Waves are in stock as well.

Strings

Also many styles of Ukelele strings and LaBella nylon Banjo strings.   We are also stocking Bows, rosin, shoulder and chin rests, etc. for your violin needs.

Tuning Machines

Mockingbird Music now offers a complete line of tuning machines, including the LSR gearless tuners as used on our "Mockingbird" banjos and custom solid body guitars. See the "Barros" solid body on the guitar page to get a look at these tuners.

We also carry Sperzel, Grover, Waverly and Schaller tuning machines in most available types and styles.  Keith and Five Star pegs are now available to upgrade the machines on your banjo, including the new Keith standard style tuners.
